We are anxious to return to racing in 2021! It feels like it has been forever since we last gathered to Tri harder, Run faster and Du amazing. Over the last 12 months we have been working with industry experts, local race directors, and city/county officials to develop protocols and safety standards to hold events that meet the standards enacted by governing bodies and health experts while offering the best possible experience for all athletes.

The details are currently being finalized for the 2021 season - VFR (May 15), OV Tri/Du (July 31), TriZona (August 29) and the Dirty Du (November 13).

As with most things in our daily lives, events will look different this year. Please know that the health and safety of the athletes, the production team, our volunteers, and everyone in attendance is our first priority. OYL will continue updating and adjusting its plan as the situation continues to evolve up to the scheduled race date.

OYL has put together Event Safety Protocols and Event Scenarios to lay the foundation for a safe return to racing.

OYL understands that every person/family is unique and the comfort level of each person varies based on their own experiences.  Additionally, OYL understands the time and financial commitment you are making to attend theve events. Should you wish not to, or you’re unable to, attend an event (whether an original event date or a postponed date), you will be allowed to defer your entry for up to one year (2021 entry to 2022). However, please note that if your are deferring a USAT sanctioned race entry, any USAT 1-day license will not extend past the 2021 event. (This does not apply to USAT events postponed/deferred from 2020 to 2021. Anyone who deferred from 2020 to 2021 will not pay a deferral fee.) There is a $10 processing fee for anyone deferring an entry.

You can find additional details on our Refund/Cancel/Defer/Transfer policy page.

Thank you for your continued support and for supporting local small businesses (and races). This has been a challenging time for everyone including the endurance events industry of which I have been a proud member since 2010. Working together, we will ensure the future of locally owned and operated events while keeping the highest standard for safety, fun, and fitness!

Stay safe and stay in touch for further details.
