Who We Are

Race Oro Valley (ROV) is a 501(c)(3) corporation born from a desire to service local youths in leading a healthy, active lifestyle through education and training. Many of today's youth may not fit the mold for “mainstream team sports” and need more of an individualized activity, such as running, cycling or triathlon.

What We Do

ROV provides fun training and youth-specific events to get them off the couch and away from the computer to enjoy the great outdoors, while at the same time teaching them the importance of taking care of their bodies. ROV events provide youths with a safe and nurturing environment to show case their commitment to being active and healthy, while at the same time setting a great example for their peers.

In The Works

In 2017, ROV is partnering with the Oro Valley Parks and Recreation's I Can Too! program.  I Can Too! is for young people with disabilities.  Through the use of activity modifications and greater staff-to-youth ratios, participants will have the opportunity to particpate in a multsport event at the Oro Valley Community Center on September 17, 2017. ROV and On Your Left Fitness will over advance instructions/classes in preparation for the event.

Who Supports Us?

ROV is the proud recipient of two grants from Tucson Medical Center for the 2017 season. Grants and Donations help us cover the costs associated with the camps and events: pool rental fees, park rental fees, traffic control, police support, liability insurance, and fees for local professionals who help ROV educate youths in specific exercises – swimming skills, running skills, bicycle handling skills, as well as in nutrition and basic exercise physiology.
